Electroporation applied to scientific research.
The founders of Biopulse Biotech, Dr. E.P. Spugnini and Prof. A. Baldi are considered internationally among the top experts in Veterinary Electrochemotherapy (ECT) and Veterinary Electro-Gene Therapy (EGT), and have published in international medical and veterinary journals. Professors Spugnini and Baldi have contributed significantly to the scientific research of anticancer therapies in the veterinary sector over the past 12 years. This through scientific publications concerning cases of tumors (more than 1000 treated cases) in companion, equine and exotic animals treated with Veterinary Electrochemotherapy through OnkoDisruptor® electroporators.

Fields of application
The scientific research of Biopulse Biotech group, is focused on the new techniques and applications of electroporation. Electroporation therapy (EP) is a treatment modality that uses brief, high-intensity, pulsed electrical currents to enhance the delivery of chemotherapeutic agents, vaccines and genes to cells. Our scientific research is currently divided into three different fields of application: Electrochemotherapy (ECT) Research 50% / Electro-Gene Therapy (EGT) Research 25% / Cargo Loading Technology Research 15% / Other (i.e. cancer diagnosis, medical safety etc) 10%.
