One Day at Equivet Roma Hospital

Today we went to the Equivet Roma Hospital, where Dr. Enrico Pierluigi Spugnini with the assistance of the medical team coordinated by Dr. Carlo Bolaffio and Dr. Licia Scacco performed a surgery on a male horse, complete Dressage champion. The stallion was referred for an adjuvant treatment of a tumor of the soft tissues, recurrent after surgery. The patient, after sedation, was treated with an innovative electrochemotherapy protocol with our Onkodisruptor electroporator, with the aim to completely eradicate the disease, residual after a second surgery approach. The surgery had no complications and was held in a very professional ambience, kindly offered by the Equivet Roma Hospital. Due to the particularity of the surgery, some veterinary practitioners and Dr. Andrew Vaughan from the Las Vegas Veterinary Referral Center , an American colleague of Dr. Spugnini, who was in Italy for some training on the Onkodisruptor electroporator, assisted the operation. Oggi ci siamo recati presso la clinica veterinaria Equivet Roma Hospital dove Il Dott. Enrico Pierluigi Spugnini con l’ assistenza del team medico coordinato dal Dr. Carlo Bolaffio e dalla Dottoressa Licia Scacco hanno effettuato un intervento su un Cavallo maschio intero campione di Dressage. Lo Stallone è stato riferito per il trattamento adiuvante di una neoplasia dei tessuti molli, recidivante dopo chirurgia. Il paziente, previa sedazione, è stato trattato con un protocollo innovativo di elettrochemioterapia con il nostro elettroporatore Onkodisruptor allo scopo di eradicare completamente la malattia residuata dopo un secondo approccio chirurgico.L’ operazione non ha avuto complicazioni e si è svolta in un ambiente molto professionale gentilmente offerto dalla Clinica Veterinaria Equivet Roma Hospital.Vista la particolarità dell’ intervento hanno assistito anche dei praticanti veterinari ed un collega americano del dott. Spugnini , il dott. Andrew Vaughan del Las Vegas Veterinary Referral Center, qui in italia per un training sul macchinario Onkodisruptor .
